The new big boy room....

So B and I moved into our newer, more spacious place Easter weekend. And his room was my main focus for being finished. That's why the rest of the place looks horrendous. But I am (almost) finished with his room and thought I'd post the pics that I took.

So far we're successful in staying in it to not only go to bed (with some playing along the way) but also all night long. And he hasn't fallen out, yet. He loves the alphabet tiles on the floor (and recognizes almost all of the letters- makes his teacher mommy VERY happy) but mostly he likes to take them apart.

He gets all of our closet space. And I'm so bad I take up most of both closets with my clothes. Need to do some spring cleaning!

There will eventually be some shelves on the wall above the bookcase. But I was so glad to find some relatively inexpensive things to hold all of his toys and make clean up quick and easy!

Youth Group

Brennan loves going to youth group with me on Sunday nights. He thinks the big kids are sooo cool and they are so good with him too. Here are a couple of pictures from a few weeks ago from youth group at church. Brennan LOVES hangin' with the big kids!

So, even though it's not really cold enough here in South Florida for his new pajamas- Brennan wore them last night, anyways. :-) He was quite cheesy for the camera.

Just wanted to say sorry that the blog is looking so horrible. I tried to start changing my layout and background- but it was too much for the time I've had lately. Hopefully I can figure it out this weekend. And here's a pic of Brennan reading in my bed last night...

So this evening I decided I needed to update or else it might be another 7 months. I tried to get Brennan to let me take some pics while he was playing, but he was too interested in taking the camera for himself. He was cracking me up in the shower, so I took a few shots there.

Fight for Preemies

Baby Alexis- 10 weeks old- in her cute outfit from ME! Girls' clothes are SO CUTE!

So.... I haven't blogged in 7 months!! I know, I know... terrible. And I wasn't sure that I would blog again. There's a million things going on in my life (some good- some horrible) that I'm not going to share right now. Today- I'm blogging for my favorite preemie baby- Alexis Marie Alfred! Today is "Fight for Preemies" day with the March of Dimes, and one way to get word out is to blog about it. Alexis is the baby of my teaching partner in crime- Jenn. She was born on September 2, 2009 (14 weeks premature!)- weighing in at 1lb, 7oz. Alexis has been such a fighter since day 1- just like her mama! She now weighs a whopping 4 lbs, 6 oz, is breathing on her own, in an open bed, and taking many feedings by bottle! With all hope- she'll be going home next week! This little girl is truly amazing and so strong. And so are her parents. Jenn & Ryan have been amazing inspirations to me as a mom. I can not imagine going through all of this. I can't wait til she gets bigger and Brennan can start teaching her all of his tricks.




And because I can't blog and not do a little update about Brennan- he's one month from being 2! Aaah! He's turned into a regular kid and makes me laugh on an hourly basis! The picture is of him drawing a card for Gigi's birthday this past weekend. I'll update soon and more often- I promise!
