Expedition Everest Challenge

This past weekend, I went up to Disney for a girls' weekend and to compete in the Inaugural Expedition Everest Challenge at Animal Kingdom. There were 6 girls in 3 teams/pairs. Karrie & I were "Blonde Ambition." Mindy & Vanessa were "Team JAG." And Kim & Christie were the "Southern Belles". It was a great weekend with awesome girls.

My teammate Karrie and me at packet pickup. Trying to look cold for the setting.
All of the girls... (top) Christie, Kim, Vanessa, Karrie (bottom) Me, Mindy

Me and Karrie after completing a 5K, obstacle course, and scavenger hunt (that we also ran through). And placing 16th out of 227 Women Teams!!!

Each team designed our own shirts. Mindy took an artsy picture of the backs.
(Vanessa, Christie, me)
Vanessa & Mindy's had the race logo.
Christie & KIm's said "If you think you're running well, you just got passed by a Southern Belle.
Ours said "Blonde Ambition"

And because I don't want to post without a picture of Brennan (the real reason any of you check this blog) this is from tonight. With his new push toy William bought him yesterday. They made a special trip to Toys R Us together for it.

9 months!!

Last Thursday, Brennan turned 9 months old!! We went to the pediatrician yesterday for his checkup and he weighs 19 lbs, 8 oz and is 29 inches long. He's in the 35th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Here are a couple of recent pics that I haven't posted yet.
This is at Bible Study a couple of weeks ago. Our friend Erick was leading, and Brennan was just listening so intently. :)

Gimme that spoon Mama!!

Got it!!

Just a swingin'...

We went to the park down the street from our house Saturday evening before the Bama game kickoff. Brennan had a great time in the swings.

Playing Catch Up...

So I've been a little busy since my last post- this has been an interesting school year thus far! But I wanted to post just a couple of pics of the little man from the past week.
Getting ready to watch the Tide roll over the Green Wave of Tulane!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

So this is the first time I served Brennan "real" food for his whole dinner meal- mac n cheese and green beans. He loved it!!

Playing around with his Daddy. He looks so happy to be behind the wheel! Goodness, it'll be here before I'm ready- that's for sure!!
